Crush or Flush attracts young lovers

Seattle P.I.,  John Cook  April 18, 2007

Icebreaker, which operates the mobile dating service Crush or Flush, today is announcing that it has signed up 100,000 members in the past 90 days. It also said that it is recording about 20 million monthly page views.

That's a pretty impressive adoption rate. In fact, I am not aware of any new Seattle consumer startup that has signed up so many members so fast. (Let me know if I am overlooking someone).

The company also said that users are spending on average about 20 minutes per session with Crush or Flush.

The service allows individuals to create picture profiles that include hobbies and interests and then, after a match is made, send anonymous text messages to possible mates.

Icebreaker is led by former Microsofties Michael Robinson, Eric Hennings and Josh Levine. Here's some of my coverage from when Crush or Flush first launched.
